Garage, Basement & Attic Cleanouts

You don't have to sort it first.

Most people put off a garage or basement cleanout because they think they need to sort it all first. You don't. Walk through with us, point at what stays, and we handle the rest — boxes, shelving, old furniture, the lot.

We carry it up the basement stairs and down from the attic, so nobody's balancing boxes on a pull-down ladder. Anything still good gets donated, recyclables get recycled, and the floor gets swept before we go.

What's included

Stuff we take on this one

Not an exhaustive list. If it isn't hazardous, we can almost certainly haul it — call and describe it.

  • Boxes, bins and years of storage
  • Old shelving, workbenches and cabinets
  • Broken tools, mowers and bikes
  • Holiday decorations and old toys
  • Basement furniture and old carpet
  • Attic boxes and forgotten furniture
  • Old exercise equipment
  • Crawlspace and storage room clutter

How this goes

Three steps, and only the first one is yours.

  1. 01

    Tell us what's going

Call or fill in the form. A photo of the pile helps, but honestly a rough description gets us close enough.

  2. 02

We come look and give you a number

Flat price, based on how much room it takes up in the trailer. Don't like the number? We drive off. Costs you nothing.

  3. 03

    It's gone before we leave

Say the word and we start loading. We sweep up after, then sort out what can be donated or recycled back at the yard.

Where we go

Dubuque, and pretty much an hour in any direction.

We're over the river into Illinois and Wisconsin all the time, so those are no trouble. Town not on the list? Call anyway — odds are we'll still come out.

  • Dubuque, IA
  • Asbury, IA
  • Peosta, IA
  • Epworth, IA
  • Dyersville, IA
  • Cascade, IA
  • Bellevue, IA
  • Platteville, WI
  • Galena, IL
  • East Dubuque, IL

Not sure we come out that far?

Drop your address in and we'll tell you right away — including if there's a travel charge — before you agree to anything.

Stuff people ask

The questions we get on every call.

So what does this actually cost?

It comes down to how much room your stuff takes up in the truck — not weight, not hours. You get the number on site before anything is loaded, and it doesn't move once we start. Want a ballpark before we drive out? Send us a photo and we'll get you close over the phone.

Do I have to be there?

Nope. A good chunk of our work is rental turnovers and estates where nobody's around. As long as we can get to the stuff and you've okayed the price, we'll handle it and send you photos when it's done.

Do I need to drag it all outside first?

Please don't — that's the part you're paying us for. Basement, stairs, back bedroom, doesn't matter. You point, we lift.

Can you come out today?

A lot of the time, yes — depends how the day is already stacked up. Give us a call and we'll tell you straight away instead of stringing you along.

Where does my stuff end up?

Anything still usable goes to a local donation center. Metal, cardboard and old electronics get recycled. Only the genuinely finished stuff ends up at the transfer station. Need a donation receipt for taxes? Ask and we'll sort it.

Is there anything you won't take?

Hazardous stuff is the one no — wet paint, solvents, asbestos, chemicals, medical waste. Just about everything else is fair game, including fridges and AC units with refrigerant, which we dispose of properly. Not sure about something? Call and describe it.

Want a number for this job?

Tell us what you've got and we'll give you a price. If it works for you, it can be out of there today.
